Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital (SMH) is an independent state-of-the-art, 12-bed, critical access facility opened in 2013. In 2016, it was announced the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital was named in the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the Nation as a top performer in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction and operating at a lower cost than their peers. SMH currently has a 4 star rating with Hospital Compare, a CMS overall rating of patient quality
